Responsibilities
  • Reporting to the General Manager, Sales and Marketing, the National Sales Manager will be responsible for the development of sales strategies and driving sales of the consumer products across the county.
  • The national sales manager will lead coach and mentor the sales team in achieving the target and objective of the division.
  • Identifying and developing areas of strategic sales growth
  • Creating an enthusiastic and successful sales environment focusing on thinking outside the box and challenging the norm in business
  • Managing the success of the sales team across all regions and outlets in the country
  • Overseeing a team of sales professionals, mentoring and directing strategies for success and driving sales plans
  • Nurturing high-level relationships with channel partners and stakeholders " Building and developing strong business relationships with new and existing channels
  • Developing and assessing the national marketing strategy to increase customer acquisition and retention.
  • Evaluating information related to sales, promotions, competition and market research.
  • Managing budgets and new implementations.
  • Negotiating sales contracts and marketing strategies.
  • Increasing sales and distribution of new and existing product portfolios.
  • Developing and reviewing distribution strategy.
Requirements
  • Must Hold a Bachelors degree in Business Management /Administration or related field and an MBA.
  • Must posses between 10-13 years experience in sales and marketing in an FMCG company.
  • Significant experience with a fast paced and high activity field team and demonstrated examples of developing and sustaining high performance teams and winning culture.
  • Must be able to lead cross-functionally and must be ready to travel regularly interstate as required.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must possess strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must be detail oriented and posses an in-depth understanding of the market across all the regions in the country
