Job Title: Volunteer Field Organizer

Location:
Nationwide
Reports to: Civic Engagement Associate

Summary
  • The Volunteer Field Organizer will support the Network team to oversee, coordinate field activities especially with regards to resources and volunteers.
Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and organizing outreach activities such as campaigns, public events, community meetings, etc for project awareness.
  • Assist in coordinating and developing campaign activities.
  • Supervise and guide campaign committees.
  • Identify volunteers and select leaders for running campaigns.
  • Establish a strong networking with media for public education.
  • Address campaign issues and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Assist in networking with public officials for public outreach communications.
  • Monitor campaign activities closely in collaboration with staffs to ensure campaign goals are achieved.
  • Facilitate the development of campaign materials such as displays, fliers, notices, brochures, etc.
  • Assist in developing strategic partnerships with key community-based organizations working in diverse communities.
Job Requirements
  • Strong communication and motivational skills, work ethic, and passion for community empowerment and political reform are essential.
  • Candidates must be able to work within a team, have proven leadership ability and experience handling a lot of responsibility.
  • Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications.
  • Previous organizing experience is a plus.
  • A history of working collaboratively and successfully with people and organizations from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds and a broad range of ideological positions and religious views.
  • Knowledge of the opportunities and challenges of building and working in large, diverse coalitions.

  • Creative, results-oriented, self-starting, and willing to learn. Strong task and time management skills.
