Job Title: Audit Officer
Location: Lagos
Role Objective
- Effectively manage the Company’s Internal Audit function to ensure that it adds value by providing an independent, cost effective and efficient internal audit service to all lines of business and the Company’s operations, in a manner that will accomplish the Company's corporate objectives.
Responsibilities
- Review of Company’s Management account and Fund account for accuracy, integrity and compliance with Financial Reporting Standards
- Assist in monthly portfolio reconciliation of Pensions Funds Administrator (PFA)/Pensions Funds Custodians (PFC) assets
- Carry out internal audit function in accordance with International Internal Auditing Standards
- Conduct routine checks on all departments and regional offices to ensure strict compliance to internal policies and regulatory issues
- Ensure follow up and resolution of exceptions raised in internal audit reports
- Ensure adequacy and effectiveness of internal control, risk management, and governance processes within the group including being alert to the significant risks that might affect objectives, operations or resources
- Assist in conducting risk assessment of the company
- Preparation of monthly management and quarterly Board reports
Qualifications
- Minimum of Second-Class Degree in Accounting/Business Administration or any numerate discipline
- Minimum of 2-3 years auditing/accounting experience
Person Specification:
- Must have registered with a professional accounting/auditing body
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards
- knowledge of Pension industry and associated risks
- Analysis and Planning skills
- Negotiation and convincing skills.
