Responsibilities
  • The right candidate must be able to structure the Finance department of the Company
  • Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations,
  • Ensure the accuracy of the accounting through proper processes,
  • Optimize the financial position of the Company.
  • He will report directly to the Finance Director of the Group as well as to the Country Manager.
  • Manage the Finance team (accounting, cash collection) and the Nigerian financial operations,
  • Implement processes to ensure good financial position of the Company (internal business control) and to ensure timely delivery of receipts and reports to the head office,
  • Liaise with external auditors for yearly audit of the accounts,
  • Liaise with banks for cash management and bank related issues,
  • Ensure tax compliance with local rules and regulations (CIT, VAT, WHT treatment, NCD treatment, etc.)
  • Monitor Balance Sheet risks and opportunities closely with the head office
Requirements
  • Must be ACCA or CPA qualified
  • Minimum 15 years experience in a multinational Company.
  • Prior experience with an audit firm is a plus, but should be completed with an operational experience.
  • Oil & Gas services or project management / consultancy experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent accounting skills (US GAAP, Nigerian GAAP, IFRS knowledge)
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and strong commitment to report to the head office
  • Excellent knowledge of local rules and regulations in terms of tax and accounting treatment
  • Good computer skills high literacy of MS Office / Excel

  • Innovative ability to conceptualise solutions and think outside the box
  • The candidate must have excellent communication and technical skills with a minimum of 15 years experience in Finance.
  • A past experience in the Oil & Gas sector is preferable.
