Summary
- The Health Safety Officer will use their knowledge and skills to promote a positive health and safety culture in the workplace.
- To be responsible for ensuring that employers, workers and guests comply with safety legislation and that safety policies and practices are adopted and adhered to.
- Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards, prepare health and safety strategies and develop internal policy, lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks, record incidents and accidents and produce statistics forowners in addition to the other key role and responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Skills Required
- Second Class Lower Degree or equivalent, as well as a basic knowledge and a certified health and safety professional with previous experience in a similar role preferably with a hotel health and safety background.
- Additional certifications like First Aid or Safety health practitioners.
