Job Title: Accounting Technician
Location: Lagos
Duties
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
- Payroll administration
- Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
- Preparing profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet
- Reconciling bank statements
- Keeping a careful eye on the cash flow, keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and relevant Financial Application.
- Account payable and receivables
- Vendor management and expense control
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payrolls and for utility, tax and other bills.
Qualification and Experience
- OND in Accounting or related field with minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar role with relevant professional qualification.
Competencies:
- Must be honest, trustworthy, articulate and be able to work under pressure.
- Must be conversant with the use of Financial Applications.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent commercial sense
- Good IT skills, particularly in the use of spreadsheets
