Job Title: Accounts Officer

Location:
Surulere, Lagos.

Job Descriptions

  • The Accounts officer is required to contribute his expertise and experience to the financial administration/bookkeeping processes of the organization.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Book keeping duties.
  • Accurate preparation and maintenance of the hospital’s financial records.
  • Making bills readily available to customers and clients; processing of refunds.
  • Ability to communicate financial records effectively is also very paramount.
  • Interaction with necessary financial organizations and regulatory bodies on behalf of the hospital on financial matters.
  • Attending to tax related matters.
  • Contributing to oversight/scrutiny of the hospital’s budgeting and resource management for optimum profitability.
  • Analyzing financial trends on revenues, monetary commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues/expenses.
  • Making financial management recommendations to the management of the hospital as the need may arise.
Job Requirements
  • Attention to detail is of utmost priority.
  • BSc. in Accounting or related course from a reputable institution (additional degrees would be an added advantage).
  • OND/HND in Accounting is also tenable (additional degrees in Business Admin or related areas would be a plus).
  • Proficiency in the use of Accounts Software packages is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as an Accounts Officer or related role.
  • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and other related professional bodies.
  • Excellent communication ability in English Language.
  • Basic computer literacy/usability of day-to-day data entry, analyses and processing tools such as Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to learn fast and adapt to new environment.
