Qualifications and Experience
Applicant must:
- Be a Christian
- Possess a Doctoral degree and must have been a Professor for a minimum of 8 years;
- Have a strong record of academic leadership at the university level;
- Have had extensive administrative experience at the university level;
- Have top quality scholarly local and international publications in his field of specialisation;
- Be proficient in ICT and demonstrate the ability to promote technological innovation;
- Be a member of, and show evidence of providing leadership in at least one academic/professional association;
- Possess initiative, drive and ability to pioneer an institution and motivate the entire university to achieve its objectives;
- Show evidence of commitment to excellence; and
- Possess proven ability to attract local and foreign grants and collaboration
- Possess the ability to demonstrate superior entrepreneurial orientation.
Terms and Conditions
Successful candidate shall hold office for a period of 4 years (renewable). Remuneration and conditions of service would be as stated in the letter of appointment.
