We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Technical Supervisor - Quality Control and Assurance

Location:
Lagos

Job Objectives
  • To contribute to overall customer satisfaction and business profitability through the supervision of technicians to ensure proper and prompt execution of all repair orders i.e. to drive timelines and quality.
Reporting Relationships    
  • Reports To: Head of Aftersales
  • Supervises: Technicians
Job Responsibilities
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical components to diagnose issues accurately.
  • Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Ensure all customers’ requests on the repair order are completed to a high quality standard
  • Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical/electrical and body repair soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
  • Supervise the technicians to ensure they deliver on the responsibilities of their roles and unit
  • Motivate and keep team engaged at all times
  • To conduct pre-estimate checks and post repair quality inspection.
HSE Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all team members uses all personal protective equipment (PPE) at all time in the workshop to protect against health and safety risks.
  • Ensure the team uses all protective equipment to maintain the cleanliness of the customers’ vehicle (Seat covers, floors mats, fender covers).
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times
  • Ensure team keeps work area clean and tidy at all times.

Competence Requirements    
Core Skills:
  • Technical skills: Must be familiar with engine components and systems and know how they interact with each other. They often must take apart major parts for repairs and be able to put them back together properly.
  • Troubleshooting skills: Ability to use diagnostic equipment on engine systems and components in order to identify and fix problems in increasingly complicated mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Dexterity: Steady hand and good hand–eye coordination
  • People management skills: Ability to lead others and achieve sustainable results through them

Specification/ Qualification    
Qualification:
  • Minimum Trade Test 3
Minimum Experience:
  • 5 - 7 years of automotive repair experience.
  • Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools required.
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
  • Toyota or related certification preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license.
