Job Title: Occupational Hygienist

Objectives
  • To identify, assess health hazards in the workplace and develop control strategy.
Key Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct Walk Through Surveys to identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices in equipment, systems, products, and facilities.
  • Conduct Health Impact Assessment to examine the probability and severity of accidents and illnesses that may result from hazardous practices and harmful exposure
  • Design methods to control hazards, such as engineering controls, administrative controls, and protective equipment and evaluate the progress of control systems after their implementation
Requirements
  • First Class or Second Class Upper (First Degree) in relevant Biological Sciences disciplines
  • Additional Qualification/Certification in Occupational Hygiene (eg. M.Sc Occ. Hygiene, PGD Occ. Hygiene)
  • Certification/Membership of relevant professional body.
  • NYSC Completion/Exemption Certificate
  • Applicants must not be more than 34 years of age as at 31st December, 2018.
  • Applicants must have Minimum of 6 years relevant post qualification experience .
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.

  • Health Risk Assessment (HRA).
