Job Title: Junior Accountant
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle the following responsibilities:
- Maintain accounting records
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Maintain accounting records by entering data into the accounting database; processing backups.
- Maintain the company's Imprest system.
- Handle banking transactions.
- Process and prepare payment of approved vouchers.
- Protect organizations value on confidentiality.
- Accomplish accounting and organization's mission.
Requirements
- The applicant must have a minimum of National Diploma (ND) or it's equivalent, in Accounting, Business or Financial Studies.
- The candidate must have 3 years experience in basic book keeping and accounting and must show evidence of being enrolled in the ICAN chartered accountancy programme.
- Enrollment and progressive completion of some stages of the ICAN professional examinations will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), reporting skills, attention to details, proficiency in excel and MS Word will be an added advantage.
