In collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), the American University of Nigeria, Yola, is seeking for:

Job Title: School Improvement Support Officer

Location: Adamawa /Gombe
Department: Atiku Center (AENEN)
Nature of Employment: Project Assignment
Duration: 3 years

Summary of Position
  • The School Improvement Support Officer will report to school improvement Specialist.
  • S/he will be responsible support the SI specialist to support and improve the skills and knowledge of state education managers to utilize data for teacher and school improvement purposes.
  • S/he will work with state partners to use data for in service training of teachers and conduct classroom observations to support teachers through formative processes.
Position Requirements
  • BA in Education
  • 3-5 years education management experience as a HoD, or subject head
  • Experience working with PTA or SBMC
  • Teaching experience a must
  • ICT skills important
  • Good report writing skills
