We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Security Officer
Loaction: Ughelli, Delta State
Reports to: Plant HR Manager
Responsibilities
- Develops appropriate security policies and procedures
- Provides direct security & safety training to the workforce
- Monitors compliance with the organization's security policies and procedures among employees, contractors, alliances and other third parties and takes corrective action
- Manages safety & security incident responses & Serves as an internal security consultant to the organization
- Monitors internal control systems to ensure that appropriate access levels and security clearances are maintained
- Performs security risk analysis and periodic activity reviews for security processes
- Monitors advancements in security technologies
- Monitors changes in legislation and accreditation standards that affect security
- Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster safety & security awareness
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Social Sciences course. Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage
- 8-10 years’ experience working in similar capacity in corporate environment
- Prior experience in military service will be an added advantage
