Job Title: Agronomist
Location: Oyo
Job Descriptions
- The selection and acquisition of planting materials for the aeroponics system
- The production of vines in the aeroponic system
- Maintenance and data collection (biotic and abiotic) for the aeroponics system
- Nutrient formulation and administration for the yam vines in the aeroponics system
- Technical harvest of single node vine cuttings
- Establish and maintenance of nursery plants for transplanting
- Transplanting and field maintenance for seed yam production on open field
- Engage in research and development for existing varieties and new varieties of seeds to be propagated using the aeroponic system
- Explore engagements and market opportunities with farmers, clusters of farmers, agencies, research institutes, marketers, and other players along the value chains locally and in diaspora
- Maintenance of infrastructure and general utility.
Job Requirements
- Candidate should possess relevant qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
