Job Title: Logistics Coordinator
Loaction: Lagos
Job Description
- Organizes transportation of purchased goods and process dispatch.
- Monitor the movement and the use of purchased/ inventory goods and material.
- Track shipment to ensure they arrive on time and that the shipment and delivery processes adhere to any pertinent regulations.
- Freight consolidation, cost analysis, routing and scheduling
- Prepare for receipt of international shipments, and liaises with competent authorities for port clearances, import permit, pilotage, etc.
- Manages activities throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met.
- Assist the warehouse supervisor by ensuring internal customers receive delivery on time and records are updated.
- Ensures that delivery matches purchase order and escalate when necessary
Requirements
- BSc in Shipping, Maritime or logistics related field with Second class upper
- At least 1-2 years relevant experience
- Understanding warehouse and inventory
- Creating shipping/delivery routes and schedules
- Experience in a combination of transport /shipping /insurance /freight /forwarding /procurement
