Rainbow Book Club (RBC) seeks to contribute to the development of African society by encouraging people to read. We believe that reading is one of the keys to creating an enlightened and self – empowering society. In particular, the RBC promotes reading amongst children and young adults.
We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Head of Communications/Marketing
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description:
- Coordinate the creation, planning and implementation of marketing, communications and PR initiatives for all Rainbow Group projects. This involves ensuring that internal and external communications generate awareness of the programmes and provide the media and the general public with concise, relevant and timely information
- Lead all projects relating to marketing, public relations and media communications
- Develop and execute strategic media and marketing campaign plans for the Group s activities.
- Develop proposals for partnerships and researching potential funding for projects.
- Generate increased income for all projects from existing sources or relationships
- Monitor the success of media and marketing campaigns and documenting media coverage.
- Oversee the Group s websites content, upgrade, upload, etc
- Ensure that the Group s initiatives have maximum coverage across numerous platforms including social networking sites, newspapers, radio, television and public discussion forums.
- Explore avenues to disseminate information to grassroots stakeholders.
- Represent the program to the media and external stakeholders.
- Manage and monitor the Group s communication marketing budget
- Manage and maintain the Group s brand
- Generate marketing materials and presentation
- Editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all project publications.
- Assess and ensure quality and style of print and electronic materials such as business cards, letterheads, logos and brochures
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and bi-annual for management and key stakeholders
- Assist Management in other areas related to ensuring the success of all its projects and programmes. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com
Qualifications and Experience
- 6 years experience with marketing, events, advertising, sponsorship and sales
- Relevant tertiary education.
- Note that job is a Port Harcourt based job.
