Accenture Nigeria is recruiting General Manager for South Atlantic Petroleum. South Atlantic Petroleum is a leading indigenous Nigerian oil and gas company with ambition to expand its operations across Africa. They are seeking:
GENERAL MANAGER, EXPLORATIONAbout the Position

• The GM Exploration will report directly to the CEO. He/she will be a key member of the company leadership team and is expected to make major contributions to its future direction and success.
• He/she is responsible for identifying and securing new opportunities; and finding and proving up new resources
• The successful candidate will also be responsible for building staff capabilities to establish a top performing exploration team
Qualification and Experience• The candidate should have a university degree in Engineering or Physical/Earth Science.
• A higher degree in a relevant discipline as well as a Master Administration will be an added advantage
• The ideal person will have a minimum of 20 years post qualification experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Experience should include onshore/offshore oil and gas operations in Nigeria and in other parts of Africa, and application from Nigerian national will be especially welcome.
• He/she must have hands-on technical skills in Geology and Geophysics with marked experience in one or the other
• He/she should have an extensive network of contacts in the industry and be able to articulate clear ideas for pursuing and capturing specific new opportunities
