We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resource Assistant

Location: Zuba, Abuja

Job Summary
  • The Human Resource Assistant will work closely with the HR Manager in managing all aspect of the HR function.
Responsibilities
  • In conjunction with HR Manager, Developing HR planning strategies which considers immediate and long-term staff requirements;
  • Preparing staff handbooks;
  • Advising on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotion and benefits;
  • Undertaking regular salary reviews;
  • Administering payroll and maintaining employee records;
  • Interpreting and advising on employment law;
  • Liaising with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety;
  • Developing and implementing policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
  • Working closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
  • Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation;
  • Planning, and sometimes delivering, training, including inductions for new staff;
  • Analysing training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
  • Recruiting staff – this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and selecting candidates;
  • Dealing with grievances and implementing disciplinary procedures.
Requirements and Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ previous work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science or any related discipline.
  • CIPM certification is an added advantage.
Required Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with an HRIS or HRMS
  • Basic knowledge of labor laws
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communications skills.
