Job Descriptions
  • Working in collaboration with the Onshore Asset Engineering, provide technical knowledge to the design, development and installation of instruments/electrical and/or control devices/systems.
  • Also responsible for managing dedicated contractor/OEM work force in the area or be part of integrated team managing a combined resourced construction/commissioning team.
  • In addition, act as the focal point for offshore project works, planning, material acquisition, installation, commissioning/plant start up and hand over of all signed off documentation.
  • Preparation/handover to maintenance departments of work packs consisting of spares listing, maintenance schedules, electrical/instrumentation drawings & vendor contact details to enhance flawless project delivery within the Asset Engineering team.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Provides comprehensive quality instrumentation/electrical & general engineering services to company staff and registered contractors/vendors in an efficient manner.
  • Create the plan, the scope and lead offshore execution of shutdown activities for instrumentation that guarantee completion within the definite shutdown timeline especially for Field Turn Around Maintenance (TAM).
  • Manage the QA/QC process during the design, procurement and construction phases and demonstrate the Technical Integrity of the facilities.
  • Oversee site work execution, develop procedures for maintenance or engineering team to ensure safe, standards specification to achieve highest quality of the work.
  • Leadership role in the engineering team offshore, providing general/specialist input as appropriate towards development of best practice engineering procedures and protocols for optimization of services.
  • Plan, implement or administer project programes as agreed with Onshore asset engineers.
  • Provide instrumentation & electrical engineering tools and implement interventions to staff and eligible contractors, designed to ensure a healthy, high performing workforce and business.
  • A commitment to lifelong learning and audit to ensure workforce safety and quality standards.
  • Support HSE activities within the department to embed a preventive safety culture amongst all employees.
  • Identify risks involved in work activities within the role of all employees whilst carrying out project activities, reporting all potential identified risks.
  • Ensure suitability, availability and serviceability of all equipment required.
  • Contribute to the development of policies/guidelines and management protocols for the promotion of best practice within the industry.
  • Manage HSE, ensuring incidents-free project execution.

  • Experience: Minimum Experience Fresh
  • Other experience: 10 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry in a project environment.
