Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO), a Federal Republic of Nigeria, World Bank facilitated project is recruiting to fill the following position in the Co-ordinating Office of a participating State:
Job Title: Operations Manager - Youth Employment And Social Support Operation (YESSO)
Location: Nigeria
Responsibilities
- The Operations Manager will report to the State Operations Coordinating Unit. (SOCU) headed by the State Coordinator.
- The State Operations Coordinating Unit will be responsible for the establishment of the central social safety net system and will coordinate the overall operations at the state level and be accountable to the State government arid to the Federal Operations Coordinating Unit (FOCU) of YESSO
- Supervising and coordinating the overall activities of the operations department
- Supervising the processing of applications for the Public workfare social safety net program
- Ensure conduct of desk and .field appraisals of public workfare program to be forwarded to State Operation Coordinating Unit (SOCU) through Public Workfare (PWF) State Coordinator
- Providing overall supervision, formulation and implementation of processes of PWF community development plan
- Ensuring the maintenance of records on all PWF development plan on a continuous basis; and passing on such information to the M& E department
- Ensure that requisite assistance is rendered to communities as and when required
- Liaison with relevant Ministry, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to provide technical and back-up support to communities
- Consolidate annual work plans and budget of the state PWF.
- Provide quarterly and annual projections for PWF development plan implementation.
Requirements
- Good Project Management and Negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point and Word for effective reporting.
- Knowledge and experience in operating Social Safety Net projects or any experience with World Bank or similar organizations that have implemented rural development projects
- Applicant should not be more than 42 years old
