Youth Employment and Social Support Operation (YESSO), a Federal Republic of Nigeria, World Bank facilitated project is recruiting to fill the following position in the Co-ordinating Office of a participating State:

Job Title: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

Location:
Nigeria

Responsibilities
  • Assist the H & E Manager in ensuring the maintenance of records of all types of data and information on State agencies (SA) activities
  • Support the M&E manager in providing guidelines and guidance for the operations of the MIS and M & E units for them to meet the expectations of the SA
  • Assist in liaising with the LGPWC/ELGSNC and other Departments of the SA for M&E purposes and working with the communities to ensure effective participatory monitoring and evaluation of public workfare activities;
  • Assist in the development of annual budget and work-plan for the department;
  • Assist in the design of field data collection and collation formats for the SA;
  • Assist in providing cumulative records, analysis and statistics of activities over time to guide operations and provide information base for planning and future evaluation
Requirements
  • Good communication and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Project, Excel, Power Point and Word for effective reporting
  • Proficiency in the use of statistical packages such as MS Excel and SPSS
  • Knowledge of Social Safety Net projects or any experience with World Bank or similar organizations that have implemented rural development projects would be an advantage
  • Applicant should not be more than 35 years old
