Job Title: Senior Gas Consultant
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Purpose Statement
- Sahara Power Group (SPG) is seeking an individual with expertise within Gas sub sector. This individual will serve as a Consultant providing technical and commercial expertise to the group. Specifically, the particular expertise required is one focused on gas utilization; demand and supply in power generation.
- SPG expects the ideal individual to be able to leverage on its generating assets, get sufficient gas supply and ensure these assets perform optimally and render expert technical advisory services.
Key Deliverables
- Review and update the design and process flow for Gas supply and utilization
- Manage all aspects of Gas Contract Management
- Ensure all Gas Supply Agreements are in place
- Design of the Gas Supply Value Chain with proximity to one or more of stakeholders (Gas Supplier, Transmission infrastructure and/or customer)
- Develop and implement a Gas Pricing Model (analyzing its use for Power vs Export)
- Ensure sourcing of consistent gas supply to generating infrastructure
- Leverage on relationship with regulatory and Gas associations
- Ensure alignment of our business needs
- Advisory role to MD, Sahara Power Group on gas related matters
Knowledge/Skills
- Commercial and technical expertise on gas in the power industry
- Understanding of the industry i.e,:
- Location of the various gas wells
- Proximity of gas wells to our assets
- Know the volume of gas in the area
- Know where the cheapest gas is
- Nearest gas transmission infra to our assets
- Demonstrated skills in energy industry analysis and research within the natural gas sector
- Demonstrated working knowledge of natural gas flow data and analysis in Nigeria
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills
Minimum Qualification/ Experience
- Must possess a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or Sciences
- A cumulative minimum of ten (10) years oil & gas/power industry experience
- A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
