Job Title: Accountant
Location: Abuja
Job Summary
- The Accountant provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
Responsibilities
- Gather & monitor financial data (e.g. sales revenues & liabilities)
- Prepare monthly, quarterly & annual statements (balance sheets and income)
- Forecast costs & revenues
- Manage tax payment
- Organize internal audits
- Monitor and report on accounting discrepancies
- Conduct detailed risk analyses to assess potential investments
- Analyze financial trends
- Ensure timely payments
- Reconcile accounts payable & receivable
- Prepare budget forecast
- Prepare & review payroll records
- Perform month-end & year-end close process
Requirements
- Proven work experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel & accounting software
- In-depth understanding of business bookkeeping procedures
- Solid knowledge on accounting regulations
- Excellent Maths skill with attention to detail
- Time management abilities
- Confidentiality
- BSc. Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field
- Additional certification (e.g. ICAN)
- Abuja residents only.
