Responsibilities
  • Inspection and Repair Services are expanding the service offering to existing and new customers by setting up a mobile Test and Inspect operation in Nigeria and serving land based and Off Shore customers. Highly trained and skilled engineers capable of testing and inspecting turbo-generator equipment at Customers sites. Working as key members of the team the successful candidates will play a vital role in enhancing business growth.
  • Visit customer sites to carry out high voltage PDA & Tan Delta testing and integrity inspection of generators and transformers
  • Produce a report for the customer detailing the results of the test and inspection
  • Identify potential sales opportunities and inform the customer of the range of repair services I&RS can provide
Requirements
  • Full driving licence (minimum of 3 years) with no endorsements
  • Minimum of 5 years experience of working with generators (above 10MW), large motors and/or high voltage AC and DC transformers. Preferably with a major OEM.
  • Previous experience of PDA & Tan Delta testing and inspecting generators, large motors, and/or transformers either for an OEM or for third parties.
  • Qualification level of an apprenticeship or equivalent European standard
  • Ability to speak and write in English, in addition to first language.
  • Customer Service orientated
  • Self starting requiring a minimum amount of day to day supervision
  • Highly detail conscious
  • Second language preferably French or Portuguese Certified Green Belt
