A Multi-national Company with a solid reputation for high quality products, corporate governance and highly motivated workforce, requires the services of a Resident Medical Doctor in its Industrial Clinic in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Resident Medical Doctor

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Roles and Responsibilities
  • To provide a continuous on-site medical support to meet the needs of patients, consultants and nursing staff.
  • This includes emergency procedures and routine medical services in all clinical areas.
  • The Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will report to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO),
  • He/She will take calls as per the call duty roster,
  • He/She will carry out any other duties assigned by CMO from time to time.
Job Knowledge:
  • More than average knowledge in general medicine with good diagnostic acumen,
  • To be completely familiar with emergency equipment, and demonstrate competence in emergency procedures, e.g. Rapid sequence intubation, emergency tracheostomy, needle thoracostomy, etc.
  • Practical knowledge of Occupational Health.
Qualification and Experience
  • MBBS with valid registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria;
  • General Practice Physician with relevant experience in the management of trauma (including triaging) and medical emergencies, pediatric cases, gynecological cases, etc.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) completed within six months prior to employment;
  • At least 10- 15 years post NYSC experience.
Other Skills Required:
  • Demonstration of high level skill with interpersonal relationships and communications. Excellent interpersonal and management skills,
  • Good diagnostic acumen and sound knowledge of evidence-based medical practice,
  • Strong service philosophy and leadership skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, deductive reasoning and decision making skills, Ability to work within a multicultural environment,
  • Superior patient/customer service, ethics, and bedside manners, etc.
  • Good Computer skills.
