Digital jobs Africa is an initiative that seeks to impact the lives of 1 million people in six countries in African by catalyzing sustainable information and Communication Technology enabled employment opportunities for African Youth who would not otherwise have an opportunity for sustainable employment. The work will be led out of the foundation's Africa Regional office in Kenya, with o focus on six countries: Egypt, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria and South Africa.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Position: Stakeholder Development Officer

Location:
Any City, NG
Duration: Three years fixed term position based in Nigeria

General Responsibilities
  • Support the on-the-ground implementation of the Digital Jobs Africa Country level strategy by actively engaging with stakeholders from private sectors, government and civil society.
  • Optimize opportunities for the foundation through Digital Jobs Africa to build its profile as important stakeholder in the youth empowerment space.
  • Stay on top of developments in the field - new players, key events, new information being generated, policy movements, important upcoming events, etc, through conversation with others active the field, monitoring websites, bogs, email lists.
  • Identify new potential partners for the Digital Jobs Africa initiative to build the country portfolio
  • Prepare research and analysis as needed to aid in the assessment of and recommendation for grantee or stakeholders partnerships.
  • Regular reporting to Africa Regional Office Managing Director and meetings with Digital Jobs African team.
  • Support in stakeholder engagement, especially around building alignment and effective collaboration between stakeholders; organize and lead stakeholders meetings.
  • Provide day-to-day interface with and support to grantees.
  • Support the on-the-ground monitoring and evaluation activities, as required.
  • Participate in the periodic strategy development process which will chart and sometimes shift the cause of work.
  • Effective representation with the local media.
  • Write information for use by RF Communication for initiative and grantee needs.
  • Ability to schedule one's travel, preparing one's expenses reports as well as managing files, mail, correspondence, etc. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com
Qualification Requirement
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years' experience working with or in private sector organizations; strong networking, analytical, research and writing skills.
  • Deep understanding of the ICT enabled economy and existing relationships with those stakeholders in Nigeria and Ghana required.
  • Experience in a Business development role is preferred.

Key Skills:
  • Must be a self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently and without the structural of a formal office environment.
  • A demonstrated ability to build effective networks with senior level private sector players and government officials in Nigeria and Ghana.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Requires 70% of travel time outside of home base.
