Details
  • The Director of Studies shall be responsible to the Director-General for organising and conducting the Senior Executive Course (SEC) of the National Institute.
  • The candidate should be a committed scholar in strategy, policy, history, economics, and international relations.
  • Regardless of field of studies, the prospective candidate must have a sound understanding of the public policy environment in Nigeria.
  • The position is for a term of 2 years which may be renewed for another period of 2 years. Candidate must be within the age bracket of 50-65 years.
Job Specification
  • The candidate should possess a Ph.D in either the liberal Arts or the Social Sciences with not less than 20 years cognate experience in a University, Research or Strategic Institution, Public or Private Organisaton, and must have attained the position of a Professor in his/her area of specialisation for at least 7 years.
  • Candidate should have the ability to initiate, develop arid coordinate policy and strategy-oriented projects.
  • He/she should show evidence of work arid leadership experience with interdisciplinary groups and sufficient evidence of scholarly contributions in reputable journals and books, A good knowledge of NIPSS or membership of the National Institute (mn) would be an advantage.
