Job Title: Internal Auditor
Location: Port Harcourt
Responsibilities:
- Evaluates and provides reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended and will enable the organisation’s objectives and goals to be met
- Reports risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified directly to the CEO and provides recommendations for improving the organization’s operations, in terms of both efficient and effective performance.
- Evaluates information security and associated risk exposures
- Evaluates regulatory compliance program with consultation from legal counsel
- Evaluates the organization’s readiness in case of business interruption
- Maintains open communication with management and the CEO teams with other internal and external resources as appropriate
- Engages in continuous education and staff development
- Provides support to the company’s ant-fraud programs.
Qualification and Experience
- First Degree in a reputable university in Accountancy or its equivalent
- 5 years of working experience of which 2 years must be in an Audit Firm,
- 1 year in the Oil& Gas Industry.
- Professional membership is compulsory
- Must be computer literate
- IFRS certification will be an added advantage
- Should have good communication and writing skills
- Ability to work with less supervision
- Multi-tasking and
- Must be team playing
