We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: State Coordinator
Ref: IITA-HR-NRS2019-029
Locations: Borno & Adamawa
Recruitment Type: National (2-year renewable contract)
Duties
Successful candidate will among other things perform the following duties:
- Manage stakeholder platforms at State and Local Government levels
- Link Stakeholders to Government agencies and non-Governmental Organizations
- Facilitate implementation of all Activity Interventions in the Local Government Areas and communities
- Supervise field agents in the implementation of field operations
- Link Stakeholders to Government agencies and non-Governmental Organizations
- Facilitate implementation of all Activity interventions in the Local Government Areas and communities
- Facilitate training programs at all levels
- Promote linkages between the various value chain actors
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor
Qualification
- A post-graduate degree in Plant/Crop Science, Public Administration or related fields with minimum of eight (8) years professional experience performing similar role in a structured organization.
Competencies
The ideal candidate must:
- Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented multicultural environment
- Have ability to communicate fluently (orally and in writing) in Hausa and English language
- Have the ability to deliver accurate and timely reports
- Be able to work with minimum supervision and with tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate in one or more of northern Nigeria’s major languages is an advantage
