We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Senior Officer, Marketing
Location: Abuja
Number of Subordinates: Reports to: Marketing Manager
Main Function
- Sales and Brand Promotion; Relationship Management and Negotiation, Research and Analysis; Budgeting and Financial Analysis; Communication and Presentation; Leadership and General Management; Creativity and Innovation
Role and Task Complexities
Marketing 50%:
- Assist in managing and coordinating all marketing, advertising and promotional activities for the power, construction, extractive and agricultural segments of the company business, as well as develop marketing strategies for other products that may be developed.
- Assist in creating a service and product delivery SLA (Service Level Agreement) as may be required.
- Contribute to the annual sales and marketing plan as well as execution
- Assist in planning and project managing marketing events and evaluating their success and the effectiveness of all marketing activity.
- Assist in developing and implementing an internal marketing programme, deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales and supporting the marketing manager in day to day marketing activities.
- Organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness, plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products or services on a variety of media (social, print etc.) and liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities that enhance the company’s presence
- Function in the sales team to drive sales volume and value, deliver on marketing and sales performance targets, and assist in adjusting strategies as needed
- Create marketing presentations and deliver sales pitch
- Adhere to and implement all company policies and procedures.
Business Development 40%:
- Undertake customer surveys, generate and collate market intelligence, report feedback, research and analyse market trends, competitor offerings, demographics, and other information that affects marketing strategies
- Assist in conducting market research to identify opportunities for growth
- Assist in analysing and identifying areas for improvement in product offerings, sales tactics, marketing strategy, and promotional activities, as well as negotiate with stakeholders
- Conceptualize and develop business proposals, reports, analyses, reviews and other documents for projects spanning inception, implementation and completion.
- Assist in preparing content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution
- Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses
Research 10%:
- Conduct customer research and analyze current market conditions and competitor information for various projects companywide
- Conduct market research to determine market requirements for the existing company offerings, as well as supporting the new products development process, and other projects that may be undertaken.
Job Specification
- First degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in the same or related position
- Relevant product and industry knowledge
- Digital marketing skills and experience with relevant social media applications
