Responsibilities
General, superordinate tasks and duties (within his or her own scope of responsibility):
  • Ensure compliance with the environmental, fire protection and occupational health & safety regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and information security requirements governing e.g. personnel data, design calculations, costings and  proposals (bids).
  • Ensure experience and information feedback (via e.g. CAPA and PCM).
Further important tasks and duties of supervisors:
  • Clarification of interfacing between the contractors (authority to issue instructions, even to customer/owner personnel).
  • Induction and instruction of contractors prior to start of on-site work and coordination of contractors.
  • Monitoring of contractors for good agreement between planning and execution in line with specifications and for compliance with the test and inspection steps specified in the FQP, fulfillment of contractual stipulations (in particular regarding surface quality, corrosion protection and cleanliness), and compliance with site rules and regulations, the permit-to-work procedures and completion of residual, open points.
  • Acceptance inspection and takeover of supplies and services of contractors and on-time handover to the commissioning
  • team and/or the customer/owner in the form of system walkdown inspections, preparation of RFE, ECC, CCC and TOP.
  • Performance and participation in joint  inspections with the customer/owner and suppliers to identify any residual, open points; coordination and agreement of solutions to eliminate deficiencies; recording of deficiencies in the WeB LOP.
  • Management of participation in acceptance inspections by the customer/owner and/or regulatory authorities.
  • Component and system commissioning in accordance with approved commissioning procedures (programs) and instructions.
  • Reporting on site work progress (in the site daily logbook, daily records, etc.).
  • Reporting of discrepancies and disagreements, and any design errors or collisions with the aim of initiating project-specific solutions, and developing solution proposals; provision of change documents for customer/owner documentation.
