Position summary
  • We are looking for a highly organised and vibrant individual who will ensure favourable work environment for employees. S/he will be responsible for full management and maintenance of workplace facilities.
Job Description
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of Gokada’s facilities.
  • Review workplace needs and ensure the office supplies are stocked.
  • Responsible for the optimal allocation and management of office work space.
  • Review office utilities consumption and strive to optimize costs.
  • Supervise all facilities staff (technicians, janitors, housekeepers etc.) and external contractors.
  • Ensure that all health and safety precautions are put in place and all our facilities are safe and habitable.
  • Ensure compliance with all facility policies process and procedure, make contingency plans regarding what needs to be done in the event that certain situations occur, such as equipment breaking down etc.
  • Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards.
  • Maintain facilities budget and track expenditures/transactions.
  • Manage facility inventory for new purchases, maintenance and repair of existing facility.
  • Ensure deliverables of all facility projects within budget, timelines and Gokada quality standards.
  • Develop, monitor and evaluate plans for facilities executed by vendors.
  • Update and maintain records to track all facility inventories.
Requirements
  • Proven work experience in facilities management and supervision of cleaning and office maintenance staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective and efficient communication.
  • Vast knowledge of Google suite and other related tools.
  • Great analytical skills for decision making and problem solving
  • Good managerial and organizational skills which involve multitasking and rapt attention to details
  • Budget management
  • Interest in company’s growth and self development
