We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Head of IT

Location:
Lagos

The Role:
  • The Head of IT is responsible for management of IT Assets and act as a point of contact for all IT services provided by the IT unit
  • Educate, empower and respond to Staff to ensure optimal usage of IT services to increase productivity of the banking operations
  • Handle system setup, backup, trouble-shooting, administration of servers, system networks and system performance tuning
  • Procure and manage IT software and hardware equipment and components
  • Oversee the technical deployment tasks such as physical installation of devices/equipment in the installation and deployment of the system
  • Oversee the daily and long term strategic management of IT Assets of the Microfinance bank located in different offices
  • Plan, monitor and record software and hardware licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts
  • Contribute, develop and maintain a configuration management system and standards
  • Understand and adhere to Microfinance Bank's standard operating procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 10 years relevant working experience in Windows installation, system administration, backup, recovery, tuning and security
  • Thorough understanding of Information Technology and all services in Microfinance banking
  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in ICT gained in a banking sector
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Server and familiar with Linux
  • Good knowledge of computer hardware, system and software applications
  • Strong drive for success, excellent work ethics and a strong commitment to the team and the Microfinance bank's success
  • General Knowledge of management, finance and accounting
  • Strong analytical skills associated to capacity to solve problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and meet competing deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills; and strong analytical ability and supervisory skills.
Qualification
  • A minimum of 2.2 Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline. MBA or Masters Certificate will be an advantage.
  • Necessary professional IT certificates and must not be more than 45 years old.
