Job Title: Deputy Crewing Manager
Location: Port Harcourt, River
Responsibilities
- The primary function is to ensure effective day to day crew operation and crewing support based on quality for each individual vessel and seafarer.
- To facilitate a good working environment and personal interaction between ship and shore
- Participate in the recruitment, evaluation, induction, training processes
- Support planning and crew operation of the vessels
- Ensure compliance with statutory, industry and business unit certifications as well as training requirements
- Visa and documentation handling
- Managing career development of the seafarers
- Promotion and development of officers
- Performance reviews and follow up
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Social Science or marine background
- Master's degre will be an advantage
- Minimum of years experience in crewing or a related function within in recognised company
- Relevant Certifications and Trainings will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of STCW regulations
- Able to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Ability to work in a friendly manner to standard operating procedures
- Ability to communicate competently and understand the needs of others
