Job Title: Site Supervisor
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- The site supervisor will be responsible for offering advice in the planning, coordination and supervision of technical aspects of construction projects.
- He must be able to solve technical issues, provide advice, manage and prepare reports.
Responsibilities
- Managing construction activities and tasks.
- Ensuring equipment and procedures comply with safety regulations.
- Assessing and managing safety hazards.
- Ensuring appropriate site rules and welfare facilities are in place.
- Carrying out regular inspections.
- Overseeing building work.
- Surveying sites like setting out, alignments, levels etc.
- Making sure specifications are met on site.
- Solving problems and providing technical advice.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
Qulifications
- HND/BSc in Relevant field
- 5-7 years’ experience as a site supervisor
- Strong project management abilities
- Exemplary analytic problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must have a proven ability to plan I lead projects and must be able to work under pressure
- Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to work in a multidisciplinary and multi-tasking team
- Must be result oriented and committed to company goals.
Skills:
- The ability to communicate with, motivate, and if necessary discipline the workforce.
- The ability to understand drawings and other contract documents.
- A good understanding of safety procedures.
- First aid training.
- Organizational skills.
- The ability to mediate to resolve issues.
- An understanding of welfare and environmental issues.
- An understanding of occupational health and behavioural safety issues.
