We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Machinist
Location: Rivers
Job Description
- Review samples, drawings or instructions to understand specification of outputs and plans the steps to be taken to complete the project in due time;
- Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping;
- Select appropriate machines and position or load materials needed for a job;
- Monitor machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature and identify issues;
- Ensure the output is consistent with the specification;
- Setup, adjust and operate all of the machines and tools of the organization;
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories and materials onto machines;
- Perform routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages;
- Clean and lubricate machines, tools and equipment so as to remove grease, rust, stains and foreign matter;
- Program computers and electronic instruments required to ensure appropriate output;
- Stay informed on industry trends and machineries and their usage;
- Any other duties assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a machinist in the furniture making industry
- Possess knowledge on how to operate spindle machine and surface planning machine
- Ability to read blueprints and manuals
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
- Ability to use Autocad and Excel is a plus
