An Insurance Brokerage firm with international affiliation and a sub of financial holding company is currently seeking to hire qualified candidate to fill the vacant position below:
Job Title: Underwriter/Claim Officer
Location: Nigeria
Responsibilities
- Examining insurance proposals
- Collecting background information and assessments of risk
- Analyzing statistical data using specialist computer programmes
- Writing quotes and negotiating the terms with brokers and clients
- Determining premiums
- Deciding the wording of policies
- Preparing insurance policy terms and conditions
- Liaising with insurance brokers and customers.
Qualification and Skills
- Minimum of 4-5 years of post NYSC work period, with at least 3 years working experience in the underwriting or claims department.
- A minimum of Diploma from Chartered Institute of Insurance Nigeria.
- Sound communication
- Computer literacy
- Individual must have a good knowledge of the regulation and laws of the Insurance Industry in Nigeria.
