Our Client is a new start-up Data Centre company in Nigeria. The company offer an integrated solution centre to provide Co-location data hosting services to telecommunication companies, banks, internet service providers and other companies within Nigeria

Responsibilities
  • The Procurement Officer will support the Procurement and Supply Chain of the company looking to grow rapidly in the next few years.
  • To manage and deliver the Procurement and Supply Chain responsibilities as listed below. The officer will work well within a team and on an individual basis.
  • To lead in the preparation of procurement procedures and policies
  • Pre-qualification of Vendors
  • Development of Approved Vendor List
  • Preparation of ITT (invitation to tender)
  • Review of bids
  • Commercial evaluation of bids
  • Preparation and review of contracts
  • Vendor negotiation
  • Preparation and execution of Purchase Orders into Orion System
  • Expediting of Vendor materials and documentation
  • Close out of PO
Reports
  • Orion generated reports such as company commitments
Key Internal Interfaces
  • All Managers generating PO requisitions
  • Finance Department
Key External Interfaces
  • Vendors
Requirements
  • Min 7 years of experience in a relevant Procurement role
  • Knowledge & experience of ICT industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Procurement of package and bulk materials
  • Knowledge required of tender evaluation, negotiation of purchasing terms & conditions, expediting, inspection and logistics
  • Experience in preparation and compilation of ‘Invitation to Tender’ packages
  • Experienced in handling and processing bid tender clarifications
  • Experienced in the preparation of Procurement Procedures & Forms
  • Solid experience working in the Nigerian market
  • International experience would be desirable.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • A good team player
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to properly maintain files and historical data.
