An indigenous Estate located within Lagos Mainland, Lagos State is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Estate Manager

Job Description
  • We require an Estate Manager to manage the affairs and oversee a smooth running of the estate.
Key Responsibilities
  • Working directly with the Resident’s Executive Committee of the Estate to plan and execute a management plan of the entire estate and grounds
  • Communicating with and managing the concerns of residents
  • As the Administrative Head, will have oversight over all employees- Security, environment, secretariat, drivers, etc.
  • Ensuring that Estate Office is maintained and all practical equipment is running smoothly
  • Managing utilities, creating estate manuals and ensuring the Executive Committee receives competitive quotes on any orders or purchase of products or services and repairs
  • Acting as first point of contact for residents, staff and contractors
  • Acting as first point of contact in case of emergency or any incident
  • Manage the estate relationship with members, service consultants and appropriate/ agencies
  • Conduct periodic estate member’s satisfactory survey on power supply, health and safety, cleaning, waste disposal, water supply, transportation.
  • Supervise consultants on project, environmental, maintenance and security development in the estate. This to include installation/modification of new/existing equipment’s.
  • Assist in the development of Estate secretariat strategy including: Setting unit tasks and targets; Preparing and scheduling of activities etc.
  • Provide inputs in the preparation of the annual departmental budgets by preparing an analysis of prior period’s budget against actual variance analysis, market costs of material and spares and an analysis of services benchmarking.
Essential Requirements
  • First degree minimum.
  • Relevant experience in Estate Management.
  • Not necessarily a relevant degree in Estate Management.
  • Basic appreciation of standard financial policies.
  • Relevant degree in Estate Management
  • Experience of managing a large estate
  • Procurement experience
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Proven ability to manage staff and oversee a busy and large estate
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills
  • Computer savvy with proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work with a project team.
