Job Title: Group Head, Business Development

Key Responsibilities
  • The Group Head Business Development is responsible for driving awareness and revenue growth across the various companies: Agro & Telecoms, Oil & Gas, Mortgage Bank, Capital Project & Equipment Management, Aluminum roofing sheets, Microfinance Bank, Haulage and Transportation and Real Estate Construction.
  • Marketing and Business development and provide constant feedback to the Management team.
  • Identify sales leads, pitch goods or services to new clients. Maintain a good working relationship.
  • Ensuring companies growth objectives are attained, articulate new business development opportunities and identifying, building and managing relationships with existing partners/clients attempt to increase their current spend in line with corporate goals.
  • Increasing the value of current customers, attracting new ones
  • Plan, oversee, Identify, evaluate and develop new business and markets opportunities, initiatives and feasibility reports supporting growth based on intelligence.
  • Responsible for developing business with key clients across different sectors with significant potential to become a major contributor to the growth and profitability of the various companies.
Requirements
  • First degree or its equivalent in a Business Discipline (Business Administration, Marketing etc.).
  • MBA or MPA in Business Administration, Marketing
  • Professional certification, e.g. ISMMN, CIM, ICSP, NIM, ICAN,
  • Minimum of 12 years work experience of which 6 should be in a senior management position.
  • Possesses ability to translate company's business goal into profit.
  • Highly innovative and experience in controlling various projects and clients.
  • Good knowledge of business methodologies, global business market, local and federal business regulatory.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and writing skills.
Key Performance Indicator:
  • Return on investment (ROI) of brand
  • Conceptualize and arrange marketing material including gifts, press releases, communication, etc.
  • Effectively execute local marketing strategy and participate in marketing activities provided by superiors to attract new leads and develop business relationships
  • Coordination with a sales representative.
  • Follow up with existing customers to generate sales.
  • Generate leads, call prospective customers and schedule appointments for sales representatives.
  • Total cost of customer acquisition
  • Percentage of sales/Revenue growth
  • Number of new clients
  • Number of new business initiatives
  • Number of retained clients
