Job Description
Includes but not limited to:
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for plant, machinery and equipment to ensure that these continue to operate at optimum levels.
- Monitor performance of the plant and equipment to ensure that their manufacture, operation, and maintenance comply with de sign specifications a contractual agreements
- Monitor and revise maintenance schedules as necessary to ensure their continued effective performance
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets to ensure that maintenance is carried out within agreed costs
- Ensure that all documentations and procedures are provided by suppliers and contractors when receiving new plant and equipment.
- Determine the optimum level of spare parts to be held in stock to ensure availability is maintained at minimum cost
- Maintain comprehensive records of stocks and maintenance carried out
- Maintain contact with other departments to ensure that any plant shut down is carried out at a minimum cost and inconvenience
- Monitor the results of the planned maintenance programme and introduce any required changes where effectiveness needs to be improved
- Maintain knowledge of new developments in maintenance practices and procedures to ensure that there is continuous improvement in maintenance
- Performing other responsibilities as the need arises.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or any other related field
- Candidate must possess not than less than 7 years with knowledge of modern maintenance techniques
- Knowledge across multiple sectors especially ginning industry & handled notable challenges in the past
- Membership of related professional bodies.
