Job Title: Farm Supervisor
Location: Ogun
Job Description
- We require a Farm Supervisor with practical hands on experience to carry out daily operational planning, supervision, and administration of activities on the farm land.
Responsibilities
- Directs & coordinates workers’ activities such as planting, irrigation, chemical application, harvesting, grading, and record keeping.
- Planning finance and production to maintain farm progress against budget parameter.
- Inspects farm land and field to determine maturity dates of crops or estimate potential crop damage from weather.
- Maintaining and monitoring the quality of yield.
- Ensuring farm activities comply with government regulations.
- Monitor weed and pest control, soil composition and fertilizer needs of the soil.
- Maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
- Identify shortfall of farm hands and liaise with management to engage new hire.
- Organise purchase of machinery/equipment and sale of crops & products.
Qualification and Experience
- Formal education in Agricultural Science and at least 3 years of experience at farming and supervising large expanse of farmland.
Skills:
- Confident at working independently, good communication skills, articulate and business minded,ability to keep records diligently.
