Job Title: Chef
Location: Lagos
Job Description
- We urgently require a seasoned full-time Chef to work in our Restaurant
Responsibilities
- The Chef will be responsible for preparing meals for our dinners
- Follow the budget established by the restaurant manager
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards
- Kitchen inventory management
- Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking and delivering food to diners in a timely fashion
- Maintain the schedule for kitchen staff
- Monitor food and labor costs
- Keep up with industry trends and create new recipes
- Interviewing and training staff
Qualifications
- Candidates must possess a B.Sc/B.A or HND in Food Technology, Culinary Arts or related field from a recognized academic institution
- Technical College Education with Trade Test and certificate from National Business & Technical Examination Board (NABTEB).
Skills and Competencies:
- 5+ years experience as a Chef in a full-service restaurant
- 2+ years experience in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dedicated to food quality and control
- Must have physical stamina;
- Must be dedicated to food quality and control;
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation standards.
