Job Title: Project Manager

Job Description
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope.
  • They will also effectively monitor and present project updates to relevant stakeholders, clients, or project team members.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct day to day management of the services of the company under contract with the client in accordance with the overall policies formulated by the Project Director
  • Provide support to the Project Director in the following areas - Contract Management, Claims Management and Dispute Resolutions
  • Coordination of design engineers/experts on the review of EPC design for adherence to contract conditions
  • Coordinate and provide support to the Chief Resident Engineer and the resident site team on the supervision and adherence to quality assurance on the project
  • Coordination of the liaison between the company and client on all aspects of the project
  • Track progress of work for compliance with agreed project schedule/deliverables, perform critical path analysis in order to flag project slips, develop/analyse S-curves to determine effect of work program changes to project schedule/deliverables
  • Evaluation of the contractor's monthly IPC and recommendation for approval of the client
  • Develop processes/procedures/systems for effective collaboration/engagement with the client and all other stakeholders on the project
  • Coordination of all project meetings and preparation of minutes of meetings
  • Preparation of Monthly Progress Report on all activities on the project
  • Preparation of Monthly Timesheets for approval and issuance of corresponding Consultant Invoice to the client on the project
  • Preparation of Monthly Local Content Report that collates the impact of the project along the following metrics - Employment, Capacity Development, Technology Transfer and Local Supply Chain
  • Preparation of Project Resource Plan (Personnel, Cashflow etc) of the company for the duration of the Project
  • Coaching and mentorship of junior engineers of the company for the development of project management and planning/execution mindset and skills
  • Conduct quarterly performance evalution by monitoring project deliverables of the entire team on the project
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering (Power) or Civil Engineering
  • Minimum of 25 years relevant experience in the Engineering Consulting in the development of Dams, Powerplant or Transmission Line Infrastructure
  • Strong acumen in project planning and management
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
  • Recent publication in engineering journals.
