We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: AMS Sales Representative (Sub-Saharan Africa Region)

Location
: Lagos, Nigeria
Reports to: AMS Sales Director - MEA

Position Summary
  • Responsible for the sales of Exterran’s aftermarket portfolio, inclusive of, but not limited to, spare parts, field services, equipment upgrades and operation and maintenance contracts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct selling to the end user.
  • Inside sales and the preparation of spare parts and service quotations drawing inputs form Exterran Global Parts and Field Services Teams.
  • Build and maintain new and existing customer relationships drawing upon links within current network and beyond
  • Constantly review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and qualify sales prospects/opportunities.
  • Manage the prospect / opportunity from initial identification to enquiry stage and development of the proposal.
  • Develop and own the customer relationship in a given territory.
  • Gain a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements and develop sales and proposal strategies accordingly.
  • Presenting the product or service in a structured professional manner at all times.
  • Cold call to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business.
  • Act as a contact between Exterran and its existing and potential markets.
  • Challenge any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy.
  • Record sales and order information appropriately.
  • Feed future buying trends back to Leadership Team and customers as required.
  • Attend team meeting and share best practice with colleagues.
  • Build internal relationships.
  • Gather market and customer information.
  • Regularly travel to meet potential customers as well as maintaining existing accounts.
  • Must comply with Exterran HSEQ policies and procedures at all times.
  • Perform any other job functions as assigned.
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering profession is preferred
  • At least 7 to 10 years’ experience in face to face customer sales experience
  • Candidate has existing knowledge and exposure with E&P clients in Sub-Saharan Africa.
  • Oil and Gas selling experience in surface production facilities – especially in aftermarket services sales for Gas Processing and Gas Compression
  • French language skill would be an advantage.

  • Fluent in English
  • Can Do, pro-active and flexible attitude to work is essential
  • Proficient using CRM, Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
  • Must be able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Must be proficient in working in a multi-cultural region.
