Job Brief
- An Account Officer is responsible for the day to day accounting activities.
Responsibilities
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable.
- Reconciling accounts with various vendors account.
- Organize and update financial records.
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports.
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases
- Maintain digital and physical financial records
- Compute, process and file payroll documents
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles.
Requisite Qualification
- Candidate must have a first degree or formal training in Finance or Account
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in an Accounting role
- Excellent organizing abilities.
- Great attention to detail
- Great numerical skills
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office package and other accounting software
