The National Secretariat of the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners located at Plot 2047, Michael Okpara Street, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja is recruiting to fill the following position:
Job Title: Executive Secretary
Location: Abuja
Responsibilities
The Executive Secretary shall perform the following functions:
- Perform Secretarial Duties on behalf of the National Secretary
- Conduct general supervision of all administrative work of the Institute including staff su pervisions.
- Be a member of the Institute’s National Council
- Shall be the Secretary of Management Committee of the Institute and
- Undertake any other assignment given to him by the National Secretary or National President.
Requirements
- A degree in Urban and Regional Planning
- A higher degree will be an advantage
- Must be a registered town planner who has worked for not less than 10 (ten) years after registration in a reputable planning organization;
- Must be proficient in ICT in various applications;
Conditions of Engagement
- The position is tenured for four (4) years It is renewable for another term of four (4) years only upon satisfactory performance of duties. There is neither official car nor residence attached to this position but all official trips shall be paid for by the Institute as well as provision of accommodation in a hotel or guest house at affordable rate.
Remuneration
- The Executive Secretary shall be paid a consolidated salary of N2,400,000.00 (two million, four hundred thousand) only per annum. This package includes basic salary and allowances for housing, transport furniture, meal subsidy and annual leave.
- He shall be entitled to medical care in the approved hospital where the staff members of the Institute are registered under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS).
- He shall be entitled to 30 days leave per annum.
