The Federal Medical Centre, Nguru is one of the Federal Tertiary Hospitals in the country, it is a 400 bed Tertiary Hospital located in Yobe State in the North-East of Nigeria and is one of the fastest growing Federal Medical Centres in the Country.

Job Title: Medical Director
Location: Nguru, Yob State
Responsibilities
- The Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive of the Institution, He is accountable to the Board of Management under the supervision of the Honourable Ministerof Health, Applicants are to note that this is a full time job.
- The Medical Director is the Chief Executive of the Institution and he/she is charged with the responsibility of the day-to-day running of the Centre.
Requirements
Applicants for this post must:
- Be medically qualified and registered as such by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) for a period of not less than twelve (12) years.
- Possess a Postgraduate Fellowship of National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or of the West African College of Surgeons/Physicians or its equivalent.
- Be a Consultant for at least five(S) years.
- Be of proven good character and integrity.
- Have mental stability and ability to provide the needed “Servant Leadership” to take the centre to the next level
- Be gainfully employed at the time of application
- Have knowledge of computer/ICT
- Not more than 55 years of age
- Have experience in Health administration and management at the tertiary care level
Condition Of Service
- The Conditions of Service are as defined for the Chief Executives of Federal Agencies as contained in relevant rules and circulars.
Tenure Of Office
- The appointment is for a term of four (4) years in the first instance and may be renewed, subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of Mr. President for another term of four (4) years.
