Job Purpose
- This position is key to achieving planning KPI targets in many areas– forecast bias/accuracy, customer service, working capital, business waste and overall cost. The Demand and Supply Planner will act as a key business partner in monthly S&OP processes that are executed in close cooperation with Marketing, Sales, Finance and Channel Management.
- The Demand and Supply Planner will be responsible for leading the development of the rolling volume forecast for production.
- This individual will organize several x-functional teams through the monthly S&OP cycle with the objective of creating a forecast and documenting any risks and opportunities. You will also manage the development and continuous improvement of the statistical forecasts which serve as a critical input into developing the forecast as well as disaggregating to the item level forecast which the supply chain will execute against.
- Communication of volume changes and main drivers throughout the E2E supply chain is also a critical element of the role. In addition, you will drive the implementation of new SO&P tools, processes, and reports.
Key Responsibilities
Demand Planning:
- Responsible for the 12month rolling volume forecast.
- Focuses on collaborative "bottom-up" planning with Sales and Brand Teams.
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy to deliver high customer service levels and simultaneously support the reduction of finished goods inventory.
- Lead implementation of any new SO&P tools/processes in association with Demand Planning Excellence.
Supply Planning:
- Responsible for the creation of the midterm plan and working with the sourcing unit to ensure market volume requirements can be met.
- Key objective is converting forecast into the production plan while managing; inventory levels, filling and component capacity, and customer service.
- Cost optimization and network capacity management (short and long term) are key ongoing priorities.
Minimum Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in in Engineering, Logistics, Operations Planning, Supply Chain or related fields with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience are required.
- Operational Process Planning, and experience with SAP APO & ECC a plus. APICS a plus.
- Position requires good communication skills, team commitment and proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft project.
- Good quantification and analytical skills in a dynamic environment requiring the ability to be flexible and work in “gray” area.
