Job Title: Head, Human Resources and Administration

Reports directly to: The MD/CEO

Job Description
  • The Head HR & Admin will be responsible for leading the Company’s HR & Administrative strategy to achieve efficient and effective management of the people and material resources in the most productive manner that focuses on the achievement of the organisational goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
In fulfilling his or her responsibilities, the successful Candidate will:
  • Develop and implement HR & Admin strategies and initiatives that aligns with the overall business strategy with focus on best practice obtainable in the industry
  • Plan, apply, monitor and review HR and Admin budget
  • Provide strategic guidance and advise to the Company on all issues relating to human and material resources
  • Ensure the development and implementation of all HR Policies relating to recruitment, Induction, confirmation, appraisal, promotion and succession planning within the Company
  • Establish standard and operational procedures on key HR and Admin deliverables
  • Liaise with External Recruiters and Regulatory Agencies on staff related matters
  • Define clear and unambiguous job descriptions for every staff
  • Ensure and monitor career planning and development for staff
  • Maintain a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Ensure the development, implementation and periodic update of a dynamic staff plan including skill matrix & succession planning
  • Develop talent acquisition and retention strategies
  • Develop, monitor and implement proper codes of conduct
  • Plan and implement the Company’s security strategy and co-ordinate all responsibilities relating to security of life and property in the Company
  • Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly reports on the HR budget & performance, analytics and operations respectively.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in any Social Sciences or other relevant discipline, a Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
  • Minimum of Seven (7) years’ relevant work experience
  • Professional certification in CIPM/PHR/SPHR or any other recognized professional certification
  • Evidence of competence in strategic planning and personnel administration
  • Proficient in the use of HR software
  • Knowledge of labor laws and other relevant and industry specific legislation's
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organization, negotiation and leadership skills.
